About
Little Ripper is a fabric shop for anybody who sews for any body.
I am a fairly sentimental person and have always had a fascination with the handmade, an obsession with doing it myself and an awe of what people can achieve with their hands and a desire to create. I wanted to curate a range of supplies for the likeminded customer, with products that feel as special as the pieces that you will make with them. Whether you're a beginner maker or the kind of person who hand sews their own buttonholes, there is something for you at Little Ripper!
Since craft and community go hand in hand, we donate 5% of our profits every quarter to local organisations who make a difference. Our first donation will be going to West Welcome Wagon, a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting asylum seekers and refugees as they rebuild their lives in Australia.
Our business is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Yalukit Wilum clan, one of the six clans of the Boon Wurrung people. We pay our respects to their ancestors and Elders past and present.
